Outdoor Adventures

  • Located just minutes from Pilot Mountain State Park and the iconic geologic knob that serves as a beacon, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to a vast array of activities. Hiking, biking, climbing, and sightseeing are the gems that our neighborhood has to offer! .

  • Hanging Rock State Park offers breathtaking views, hiking, biking, waterfalls, swimming, canoeing, and a natural history museum of the Sauron Mountain range.

  • Central Park, located in the heart of King, is a 25 acre natural park featuring paved walking trails and a fishing pond.

  • Carolina Ziplines, located 20 minutes from King in Westfield, offers outdoor ziplining adventures.

  • The Dan River offers seasonal water tubing, canoeing and kayaking. It runs along the Moratock Park in Danbury, approximately 30 minutes from King.

  • Pilot Knob Park Country Club Golf Course is less than 10 minutes away and is open to the public.

  • We are right in the middle of the Hanging Rock Scenic Byways Tour!

  • Another great scenic tour is the Mountains To Sea Trail which goes right through Pinnacle!
